FortiCarrier OS is a superset of the FortiOS operating system that empowers the FortiGate High-end 3000, 5000, and VM series with additional features specific to protecting Carriers/ISPs. The ability to inspect GPRS Tunneling Protocol (GTP) and Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP), large-scale IPSec termination in support of communication with large numbers of eNodeB, and carrier-grade NAT (CGN) support, make FortiCarrier OS enabled FortiGates an ideal platform choice for emerging LTE environments.
