FortiGate VMX Service Manager – License
FortiGate-VMX Service Manager communicates with vCenter Server for object database updates. Contained within the object database are all vCenter objects related to the cluster environments.
Among other things, it contains virtual machine information like UUID, vNIC(s), and network information like dvSwitch configurations and Distributed Port Groups (dvPortGroup). FortiGate-VMX Service Manager makes these objects available to the administrators for security policy creation.
FortiGate-VMX Service Manager communicates with NSX Manager to register the service. It will also update each FortiGate-VMX virtual appliance instances with the latest FortiGuard updates.
